Seeking a Hardware Engineer to work in a very dynamic, fast-paced research and development setting and has a BSEE/MSEE with 3-5 years of electrical engineering experience.
Expertise in one or more of the following areas:
Hardware engineer with end-to-end (from architecture through schematic capture/layout/BOM generation) digital and/or analog electronics design and development (e.g., using ECAD tools such as Altium Designer, OrCAD, or FPGA tools such as Xilinx ISE, Altium Quartus)
Opto-electronic circuit design including use of components such as low noise amplifiers, high throughput digital-to-analog conversion, and low ripple power supplies.
Testing, validation, and troubleshooting
Low latency video streaming and imaging interfaces (e.g., NTSC/PAL, CameraLink, HDMI) and processing, high-speed communications, and low noise sensor systems.
Experience with simulation (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, PSPICE) and programming in C, or translating existing algorithms to native VHDL/Verilog a plus.
Deriving system specifications
Developing electronics designs
Document and compile results
Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years of related experience; MS Preferred in Electrical Engineering, Avionic Engineering, System Engineering, or a related field.
Excellent communication skills – verbal and written – and experience in technical writing to produce documentation.
