Automation/Robotics Engineer - Riverside, CA

Seeking an Automation/Robotics Engineer with 5 years of experience and system integration experience to join our dynamic, hands-on engineering team that supports some of the largest medical device manufacturers in the U.S. We are becoming their preferred automation and robotics systems integrator. You will be joining an evolving team, with focus on customer needs and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

·         Support the Automation Specialists (AS) sales team in developing the scope of a project

·         Work hand in hand with the Engineering team on various automation projects

·         Provide the necessary support to the project manager to create project timelines and critical paths

·         Responsibilities within robotics projects as well as engineering and internal projects will include but not limited to leading or being part of the team that:

o   Develops and documents User Requirement Specifications

o   Perform Reach studies

o   Risk Assessments

o   Feasibility Studies

o   Cycle time calculations

o   Speed calculation in collaborative robot applications

o   DFMEA and PFMEA

o   Simulations, Schematics and 3D modeling

o   Implementation and Deployment

o   Design pick and place solutions and proof of concepts

o   Design turn-key solutions for automating manufacturing cells

 

Requirements:

·         B.S. Degree in Engineering (will consider someone with no engineering degree, but with strong automation/robotics experience)

·         5+ years related experience

·         Proven track record of hands-on experience leading or being an integral part of robotic and automation projects.

·         Experience in the selection, programming and implementation of robotics, Vision System and industrial automation solutions

·         Experience in documentation and Risk assessments and good working knowledge of applicable standards (RIA TR R15.306-2016, ISO/TS 15066, ISO 10218-1:2011, etc…)

·         Solid understanding and hands on experience of integrating multiple systems.

·         Hands-on experience in developing proof of concept designs

·         3D Modeling, simulation and reach study experience

·         Excellent communication skills & team player

·         Strong leadership characteristics

·         Good technical skills and problem-solving techniques

·         Fast learner and a good teacher

·         Excellent technical writing skills
