Seeking a Sr. Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in electronics packaging and Mechanical/Electrical Systems design for high-end consumer and military products. Responsible for designing and documenting wire routing & cable management devices to comply with safety requirements, EMC & ESD practices.
Will conduct CREO modeling of avionics subsystem, electrical connectors, removable memory modules and other termination & cable management devices.
Responsible for cable and harness design, development, documentation & release of drawings that meet all Regulatory Agency, Safety & EMC requirements, utilizing CREO and Cadence tools.
Responsible for Printed Circuit Board Outline development in AutoCAD and CREO for support to ECAD PWB Designers critical parts placement.
Execute thermal and structural simulation to validate mechanical designs and packaging in CREO and initiate and compose technical proposals and review proposals written by others.
Generate program CONOPS, requirements and technical reports for CDRL submission per DIDs
Design test fixture to prototype, production and qualification testing.
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Strong experience in an industrial environment: experience with solid modelers in CREO or Catia.
Must have hands-on development experience realizing the product he/she designs.
Must have broad mechanical design experience specifically in electronics packaging.
Knowledge of AutoCAD and Office productivity tools/software.
U.S. Citizen/green card holder required.
Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience in MIL - STD-461/·464 and MIL-STD 810 mechanical design & testing.
Experience, in design, integration, and packaging of electronics for avionics systems.
Must have excellent verbal, written, presentation and communication skills.
Must be able to work independently on some tasks, as well as part of a team on other assignments.
