Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer - Torrance, CA

Seeking a Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer for a fast-growing new company focused on advanced sensor systems.  The Sr. QA Engineer will work to ensure our products meet the requirements per specifications, contractual/customer requirements, and associated drawings.


  • Assists the Quality Engineering Manager and other team members to oversee the Quality Management System.
  • Assists with developing and improving standards and procedures.
  • Ensures on-going ISO/AS9100/AS9100 compliance with the Quality Management System.
  • Verifies the accuracy or performance of the product and creates a Failure Analysis Report.
  • Analyzes failures, determine root cause and initiate corrective action on product and internal process failures.
  • Troubleshoots inaccuracies or problems and share results and recommendations with team members.
  • Ensures requirements are being met per functional specifications.
  • Performs QA tasks to assure developed products meet requirements.
  • Performs supplier qualification, visits, and audits.
  • Utilizes Customer (Internal or External) feedback as an input to drive continual improvement.
  • Verifies and validates information flowing to suppliers and validates that the suppliers are responding with requirements.
  • Implements, administers, and maintains Quality Management System through design, development and production phases on Engineering/Production programs.
  • Interfaces with Program Management, Engineering and Operations in program lifecycle.
  • Defines, analyzes, manages, and improves program metrics.
  • Reviews and performs first article inspection.
  • Reviews program documentations (drawings, assemblies, procedures, reports, etc.)


  • BS/MS in a Technical/Engineering field.
  • 7 years’ experience performing Quality Assurance duties.
  • Experience creating Quality, test and inspection plans and documenting results.
  • Strong working knowledge of QA process and methodology.
  • Experience with complete Software/Hardware system analysis, design, implementation, testing, regression testing.
  • Familiarity with Federal Aviation Regulations (prefer part 145).
  • Knowledge of Configuration Management systems and processes.
  • Thorough understanding of ISO 9001/AS9100/AS9110.
  • Experience with testing, failure reporting and analysis.
  • Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical engineering requirements.
  • Attention to detail and adherence to schedule.
  • Effective communication skills, good problem solving ability, ability to multitask, ability to delegate responsibilities appropriately and work with a diverse work force.
  • Experience testing & auditing development processes is a plus.
  • U.S. Citizen/green card holder required.
