IT Asset Management Specialist - Irvine, CA

Seeking an IT Asset Management Specialist with 2-5 years purchasing experience to work at a global technology company in Irvine. 


  • Place all IT approved orders directly with the vendors, track shipments, and confirm delivery
  • Work closely with IT staff on receiving shipments and deployments
  • Pursuit management and finance approvals to meet deadlines
  • Expedite and prioritize orders based on urgency
  • Establish and maintain supplier vendor list
  • Act as a liaison with IT equipment vendors and resolve order issues
  • Manage and resolve Accounts Payable invoice questions
  • Prepare invoice payments and journal entries when needed
  • Assist in supplier evaluations with on time deliveries, fill rates, errors, transfers, costs
  • Review stock quantities to and keep up to date with IT department needs
  • Maintain accurate purchasing, pricing and cost data on all products
  • Track and receive all deliveries into asset management system
  • Communicate deployment details to controllers on a monthly basis – field questions
  • Reconcile the suspense account monthly, tracking purchases and deployments
  • Follow up with IT support staff on equipment not yet deployed
  • Maintain up to date records and inventory on all IT assets via the CMDB system in ManageEngine and Cribmaster.
  • Daily data entry and assist in any clerical needs relating procurement
  • Manage hardware recycling and coordinate efforts with internal IT staff and vendor
  • Provide reports, queries and analysis


  • Bachelor’s degree in IT/Accounting or Finance preferred but not necessary
  • Basic Knowledge of IT hardware, software and applications
  • Create reports and analyze data (proficient Excel skills a plus)
  • 2-5 years purchasing experience
  • Ability to effectively multi-task various responsibilities
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
