Seeking an Electrical Hardware Engineer who will develop electronic designs & derive system specifications for our Electro-Optics Division. The engineer will develop firmware for FPGAs/SoCs. The successful candidate should be eager to work in a very dynamic, fast-paced R&D setting with a number of other highly intelligent engineers & scientists.
BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Avionic Engineering, System Engineering, or a related field.
3+ years of hands-on experience developing firmware for FPGAs/SoCs (preferably Xilinx FPGA families) in the past 5 years
Experience coding in Verilog, VHDL, C, C++, and other object oriented languages
Experience with simulation (such as ModelSIM) and HDL development tools (such as Xilinx Vivado, ISE, Altium Quartus).
Hardware design with end-to-end (from architecture through schematic capture/layout/BOM generation) digital and/or analog electronics design and in ECAD Altium or OrCAD a plus.
Design for video streaming and imaging interfaces (e.g., SMPTE-292, RS-170/343, NTSC/PAL, CameraLink, DisplayPort, HDMI/DVI), low noise amplifiers, high throughput digital-to-analog conversion, and low ripple power supplies.
Good verbal and written communication skills are required
U.S. Citizenship is required. Must be able to obtain a Security Clearance.
