Network Administrator - Anaheim, CA

Are you a Network Administrator who has been responsible for installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware/software and related infrastructure?  Do you have 3+ years experience deploying, configuring, maintaining and monitoring network equipment in order to ensure smooth network operation?  If so, read on.


  • Secure, maintain and support computer software & hardware systems in LAN, WAN, WLAN and stand-alone computer environments

  • Responsible for maintaining customer network infrastructure and executing timely repairs of network equipment, desktop computer workstations, and associated peripherals

  • Evaluate network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput and latency, maintain and troubleshoot network and IT systems

  • Plan and execute selection, installation, configuration and testing of equipment, defining network policies and procedures, managing connections and firewalls

  • Install, configure and test of updates and upgrade to systems hardware and software and ensures compatibility for computer workstations and networks

  • Perform basic systems testing and operational tasks for a wide variety of hardware and software client and server systems

  • Support multiple technical systems in 24 x 7 operational environments with high uptime requirements. Occasional weekend or after hours work required

  • Secures network by enforcing network access, monitoring, control, and evaluation protocols
    Will handle multiple virtual servers

  • Communicating and working with company, client, vendors and third-party technical and service teams to maintain, troubleshoot and connect technical issues

  • Implementing new systems & adding systems in place to avoid Malware being installed

  • Managing domain controllers, exchange servers, file servers, print servers, DFS servers, DHCP servers

  • Responsible for providing direct technical support, including administering an application server, maintaining all hardware/software, and troubleshooting problems in a timely manner

  • Managing the VPNs and IPsec

  • Coordinating and maintaining multiple back up servers, virtual servers as well

  • Setup adequate monitoring for all critical systems to ensure immediate response times

  • Correctly ordering new and replacement hardware for specified needs

  • Occasionally updating software on the weekend or after hours


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related technical field

  • 3+ years of experience with installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and error correction on a variety of computer client/server, (LAN), (WAN) and (WLAN) technologies.  

  • Expert in Microsoft-based core technologies, including Active Directory, DNS and file-sharing services.

  • Ability to work in a self-directed manner on multiple tasks or projects, with excellent organizational and time-management skills

  • 3+ years computer hardware skills with current experience in computer component installation, operation, and configuration, such as motherboard, memory, hard disk, multimedia, etc.

  • Networking skills to include a thorough knowledge of the TCP/IP protocol and the ability to configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, and firewalls

  • Strong communication skills in the English language, with the ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical personnel in high-stress situations

  • High level of professionalism, particularly working with and assisting clients with technical questions and issues

  • Ability to produce and maintain documentation of information security systems using a variety of tools (i.e. Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft SharePoint, etc.)

  • Skilled in network design, implementation, and administration and network performance tuning
