Fluid Power System Application Engineer - Riverside, CA

Job Description:

·       The qualified candidate will be responsible for developing system designs and accompanying Account Managers for in field sales and presentation calls, while working closely with our expert support team to strengthen existing client relationships

·       Design to manufacture of electro-hydraulic systems to include hydraulic power units, integrated hydraulic manifolds, the interfacing of electronics to hydraulics, and electrical panel layout



·       Selection and sizing of components

·       Generating the hydraulic schematics

·       Creation of bills of materials according to company Standards

·       Mechanical and structural design

·       Routing and design of high pressure hydraulic piping

·       Integrated manifold design

·       Interfacing of electronics to hydraulic components (proportional, servo valves & feedback device)

·       Start up; test and trouble shoot electro hydraulic systems

·       Implementing best engineering practices (following standards for Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Shipping and Sales)

·       Responsibility for results on quality measurements, including on-time delivery, meeting deadlines, adherence to policy and procedures, and integrity of systems

·       Keeping management informed on a timely basis of business issues, projects progress, status and/or concern for assignments

·       Helping customers to develop specifications

·       Setting and maintaining high team standards from Quote, Design, Manufacturing Handoff; includes Documentation & Regular updates as required

·       Quotation and design of electro-hydraulic systems and integrated manifolds



·       Providing guidance & support during purchasing/manufacturing/shipping

·       Working with Sales team in the investigation and resolution of customer issues

·       Facilitating teamwork by encouraging communication, and resolving conflict

·       Participating in design reviews, technical discussions, process changes, standards, and team decision-making processes



·       Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience of electro-hydraulic system design, to include Hydraulic Power Unit design, integrated manifold design and interfacing electrical/electronics to hydraulics

·       Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Hydraulic technical degree & a technical degree in electrical/electronics

·       Hands on experience in building HPU’s and machining shop is a +

·       Proficient in 3D CAD tools and application. AutoCAD and Inventor

·       Requirements analysis, design skills, presenting technical information, conceptual skills, quality focus, general consulting skills, control engineering, production planning, technical zeal, job knowledge.
