Specialize in vehicle diagnostics and will be the lead for diagnostic application development, vehicle diagnostic strategies and activities for current and future model year vehicle programs.
Will support After Sales with developing service tool manuals and field trouble shooting bulletins and Manufacturing with End of Line vehicle Electronic Control Unit (ECU) setup and validation.
Experienced in root-cause analysis (both hardware and software) of problems found during vehicle testing.
This position reports to the Manager of Diagnostics.
BS, MS preferred in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering or related to automotive industry degree
Experience developing software applications to support new diagnostic processes
Strong analytic skills to perform the root causes analysis
Excellent communications skills
Familiar with CAN-based vehicle architecture and / or similar networks (such as CAN, LIN, Flex Ray)
Experience with CAN-based vehicle diagnostics protocols (such as OBD II standards, ISO 14229 UDS, ISO 14230 KWP2000, GMW3110)
Knowledge of End Of Line or Service bay processes for diagnostic testing procedures
Experience with CAN bus analysis tools and data loggers (such as, CANalyzer, CANoe, etc.)
Working knowledge of ODX (ISO 22901-
Ideal candidate will have product development and sustaining experience and have a proven track record of producing results.
Nice to Have:
Experience using diagnostic tools (such as DSA PRODIS, DiagRA or similar)
Knowledge of Vehicle Communications Interface standards J2534 / PDU-API
Experience with high voltage EV/HEV systems is desired
